The series Koko emerged due to a personal experience Ricardo Jarama had in Peru in 2005. In the house of a friend where he was staying, he was overcome by a dark feeling, which had quite a negative impact on him. To him, it felt like an inner demon and its presence continued in the first years after he had moved to Greece in 2007.
