Ricardo Jarama has a deep sense of unease and threat, and, in the series Naturama, he tries to depict his vision of the world. He does so in a graphic style, influenced by graphic novels by Jean Giraud (Moebius), Enki Bilal, Kim Jung-Ji and Katsuhiro Otomo, among others. Of course, as an artist he employs a totally individual visual language, and he includes existing and self-invented metaphors in his work. With the series Naturama, the artist shares his vision of the excesses of the current political, economic and religious system, which are exploited by rulers, while subordinates move between resistance and resignation. Jarama is deeply affected by what is currently happening in the world. Nevertheless, he is also optimistic and believes in the possibility that humans are still able to change. The artist is convinced that the earth will correct everything and survive...
